Earlier this month, a tipster told us that the Google Nexus 5 could have two different batteries powering the phone, depending on which model of the device you're looking at. According to our source, the 16GB version of the phone will be powered by a 2300mAh cell while the 32GB variant will be powered by a larger 3000mAh battery.

Last week, we passed on the word from a published report out of Italy that stated that the Google Nexus 5 will have just one battery and that will be a 2300mAh cell. That might be a disappointment to those who were hoping to add long battery life to the list of features on the handset. On Thursday,  the 2300mAh cell was leaked out in a series of photographs.

For those waiting to get their hands on the next stock Android handset, the slideshow below shows you what will be powering your phone. And surely there are more than a few out there hoping that the original tip is true and that the 32GB model will have a larger cell. Hopefully, we find out for sure no later than next week when October comes to a close.
