Dave the cameraman is a long time veteran of his craft. He is always looking for the "Holy Grail," which for him is a way to get a steady shot. He discovered that by affixing a camera to a chicken, he can shoot blur-free video. Yeah, this is all make believe of course, but LG does have a point to this rather odd promotional video. If you haven't figured it out yet, you will have to wait to view the entire clip. Did we hear a groan?

Ok, we will save you from having to watch the remainder of the video, as long as you don't mind. The point is that the LG G2, the Korean OEM's new flagship Android model, has Optical Image Stabilization on the rear camera. OIS, as it is known for short, has been seen before with the rear snapper on high-end Nokia Lumia models.

When OIS is at its best, videos that normally might look as though they were taken by someone who consumed twice their usual amount of caffeine, come out looking as though the phone was put on a tripod before the video was shot.

With all of the high-end smartphones out now, the manufacturers need different ways to differentiate their promotional material in order to catch the eye of the consumer. We're not sure that this video is going to make you crave the LG G2, but we could sure go for a bucket of fried chicken from KFC around now.
