One of the most eagerly awaited phones, hopefully coming before the end of the year, is the unannounced HTC One Max. Looking like an HTC One on a growth spurt, the latest pictures of the device show off once again a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Besides seeing the rear-facing scanner more than once, settings for the feature appeared on a screenshot of the unit.

One of the new photos reveals that the code name for the phone is HTC 8088 and it will support GSM and LTE pipelines. The handset is expected to come to market with a 5.9 inch glass with 1080 x 1920 resolution (FHD for those who like three letter abbreviations) and a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood. 2GB of RAM is on board along with 16GB of native storage. A microSD slot is available and a very un-HTC like 3300mAh battery powers the unit. Let's not forget the UltraPixel snapper, and Android 4.3 is pre-installed out of the box.

Just the other day, the official branding for the phone leaked followed today by the new photos below.  So far there has been nary a peep from the Taiwan based handset manufacturer as to when we can expect the phone to be made official.
