The Sony Xperia Z was announced at CES 2013 last week, and shown off in a variety of colors that included black, white and purple, but it’s cheaper-twin, the Xperia ZL that was also announced alongside, was only shown in black and white.

Well, fans of colorful devices, fret not! Cause the Sony Xperia ZL was just spotted in red, with lotsa pictures of the quad-core 1080p screen phone, from all angles.

The ‘skeleton’ construction definitely shows off the color more than usual, with black frame elements all around the red panels. Unfortunately though this unit is a prototype, so there’s no word on whether we’ll actually see this color outside of parts of South East Asia.

Still purty though!
